Everything You Need to Know
What is a Miswak?
Miswak is a traditional natural toothbrush made from the Salvadora persica tree. The stick contains natural fibres that can be prepared into a small brush and used as part of your daily oral-care routine.
How Do I Use It?
1. Wet the end with clean water.
2. Peel approximately 1 cm of bark from the end.
3. Soften the exposed fibres by gently chewing them until they separate into soft bristles.
4. Brush gently with the natural fibres, using the stick like a small toothbrush.
How Do I Store My Miswak?
After use, rinse the end and allow it to dry. Store your Miswak somewhere clean and dry with airflow. Trim or remove the used fibres as needed to expose a fresh section.
How Long Does One Stick Last?
How long a Miswak lasts depends on how frequently you use it and how much of the tip you trim away. When the fibres become worn, simply trim the used section and prepare a fresh tip.
Do I Need Toothpaste?
Miswak can be used on its own, without toothpaste. Its natural fibres provide the brushing action, making it a simple addition to your everyday oral-care routine.
